2013 Conference

2013 Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) Annual Conference

Welcome Message from Organising Committee

Griffith University hosted the 2013 Australasian Association for Engineering Education Conference (AAEE2013) on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, from Dec 8-11, 2013.

The theme for this year was Work Integrated Learning – Applying Theory to Practice in Engineering Education.

The annual AAEE conference is the largest gathering of engineering educators in Australasia, bringing together delegates to discuss engineering education research and best practice. More than 260 professionals from diverse engineering education backgrounds attended this event, including:

  • engineering academics
  • engineering support staff
  • postgraduate and undergraduate engineering students
  • engineering librarians
  • professional engineers

In keeping with AAEE2012, the Structured Abstract approach was used. This meant authors received constructive feedback before submitting the full paper. Submitted papers underwent a full review process and are published in the conference proceedings.

AAEE2013 was a highly informative and stimulating occasion that will help advance quality engineering education.
