Awards

The "Graeme Jameson Award" is offered annually by the Australasian Particle Technology Society (APTSoc) for the best paper by a postgraduate student in the area of Particle Technology at the annual "Chemeca" conference.

The award is named in honour of the Society's founding president, Professor Graeme Jameson of the University of Newcastle.

2010 Winner: Hilda Wiogo from the University of New South Wales for he paper entitled "Stabilisation Study of Carboxyl Coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles in Biological Media"

2009 Winner: Kai Ying Yeap from the University of South Australia for her paper entitled "The influence of PEO and orthokinetic flocculation on dewatering behaviour of talc suspensions"

2008 Winner: Tim Hunter of Newcastle University for his paper entitled "Behaviour of Aqueous Foam Stabilised by Nanosilica and non-ionic surfactant"

2007 Winner: Marc Hampton from the University of Queensland for his paper titled "Nanoscale friction forces between hydrophobic surfaces" 

2006 Winner: Rosalind Murti of Massey University for her paper entitled "Controlling SMP stickiness by changing the wall material: feasible or not?"

2005 Winner: Li Dan of UNSW for her paper entitled "Designing Magnetic Nanoparticles for Protein Adsorption"

2004 Winner: Hong Yu of UNSW for his paper entitled "Calcium Oxalate Crystallization in Silica and Sugar Solutions - Characterization of Crystal Phases and Habits".
