These annual awards provide a showcase for outstanding achievement in the field of Chemical Engineering.

John A Brodie Medal

The John A Brodie Medal is named in honour of Mr J A Brodie, who was Chief Engineer with Union Carbide. He established the reputation as a leading industrial innovator in Australia, having been responsible for the design and construction of polyethylene film extrusion units, the manufacture of bakelite and a continuous crystallization plant known as the Brodie Purifier.

Civil

Rod McGee Medal

To recognise the contribution of Rod McGee to Australian public works engineering and durability, the Board of the College of Civil Engineers, Engineers Australia created the Rod McGee Medal.

Sir John Holland Civil Engineer of the Year Award

The Sir John Holland Award for Civil Engineer of the Year provides a high profile focus on engineering achievement and serves as both a showcase for civil engineering and a focus for young people interested in pursuing a career in engineering.

Warren Medal

The Warren Medal perpetuates the memory of Professor WH Warren who was the first President of the Institution of Engineers Australia. Established in 1929, this award is given annually by the Civil College of Engineers Australia for the best paper in the discipline of civil engineering.

MA Sargent Medal

The M A Sargent Medal is a long established and prestigious award made by the Colleges of Electrical Engineering and Information, Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering.

Young Environmental Engineer of the Year

The 2011 Young Environmental Engineer of the Year award is presented by the Environmental College of Engineers Australia to acknowledge and reward young environmental engineers

ITEE

IREE Neville Thiele Award

The IREE Neville Thiele Award is the College's most prestigious award. It is named in honor of A.N. (Neville) Thiele OAM, an outstanding Australian Electronics Engineer, former President of the IREE and a world-renowned expert on audio engineering standards and the design of loudspeakers.

MA Sargent Medal

The M A Sargent Medal is an award made by the Electrical College and the ITEE College. It is named in honour of Dr Michael Anthony Sargent, and is presented each year to an outstanding Australian electrical engineer.

John Madsen Medal

The John Madsen Medal is an award made by the Electrical College and the ITEE College. The medal perpetuates the memory of Sir John Madsen who was Foundation Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sydney from 1920 to 1949, and is awarded for the best paper written by a current member of Engineers Australia, and published in The Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Mechanical

AGM Michell Award

The Award perpetuates the memory of Anthony George Maldon Michell (1870-1959), an outstanding Australian Mechanical Engineer. AGM Michell was a consulting engineer n the field of hydraulics and pump design and in conjunction with his investigations of lubrication at the beginning of the century he invented the tilting-pad thrust bearing, a momentous technical innovation.

Sir George Julius Medal

The medal is awarded to the author(s) of the publication in the field of mechanical engineering judged to be the best of those submitted for consideration. The publication may be for a paper, group of related papers, book or monograph. The award is normally made for work carried out in Australia.

Young Mechanical Engineer of the Year Award

The Award is conferred by the Board of the College of Mechanical Engineers to recognise the achievement and contribution of a young mechanical engineer, technologist or associate in the profession of mechanical engineering.

Warman Design and Build Competition

This competition is for second year mechanical engineering students across Australia & New Zealand. It is aimed at teaching students the value and significance of engineering design in Mechanical Engineering.

Structural

RW Chapman Award

The medal was first awarded in 1935 and perpetuates the memory of Sir Robert Chapman, a former Professor of Engineering at the University of Adelaide and a member of the inaugural Council of the Institution. He was Chairman of the former Adelaide Division in 1920 and was President of the Institution in 1922.

John Connell Medal

This award is for an eminent structural engineer. It is named after John Connell, principal and founder of John Connell and Associates. John Connell is considered to have made an outstanding contribution to the practise of structural engineering in Australia and to exporting Australian engineering skills to Asia in the 1970s and 1980s. He has continued to be involved with Aurecon since his retirement.
