The intent of the Hall of Fame is to recognise the accomplishments of engineers in Canberra who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and have made a significant contribution to the local community.

Ian Henderson Award
The Ian Henderson Award is a presentation competition for Young Engineers. The Award is based on the merit of the presentation of a paper on a subject related to engineering. This may be a social comment, technical, historical or a biographical paper. It could be based on a project, a technical visit or industrial case study.
The Excellence in Engineering Award
The focus of this award is on input from engineering students at the University of Newcastle. Students are involved in every stage of the process; in the nomination of lecturers, in the assessment of teaching excellence through subject surveys and as one of the panel who will select the award recipient. The Award consists of a certificate and it is presented at the Dean's Merit List Function annually.
The University of New England Award
The award is made annually to a final year student who completes a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of New England with the best Honours pass. The identification of the recipient is made by the School of Engineering.
The University of Newcastle Award
The award is made annually to the final year student who completes the Bachelor of Engineering degree with First Class Honours at the University of Newcastle.
Thesis Presentation - Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering
This function is an annual competition, organised and sponsored by the Mechanical Branch of Engineers Australia, Newcastle Division, to encourage and enhance the presentation skills of Engineering Graduates.
Northern Division Engineering Excellence Award
The Engineering Excellence Awards acknowledge the professionalism and pursuit of excellence by the engineering team throughout the country. They identify, recognise, reward and promote Australian Engineering Excellence, whether it is produced and delivered in Australia or overseas.
Queensland Division Engineering Excellence Award
