- Biomechanics of Impact Injury (NPBII) – the study of injury mechanisms and the effects of forces on the body. Design, testing and development of engineering and public health strategies, devices and technologies to prevent to injuries sustained due to impacts, such as car crashes.
- Clinical Engineering (NPCE) – the design, development, manufacture, management and maintenance of medical equipment and systems.
