CELM provides members access to practical advice and guidance from business and community leaders.
- CELM has developed a Competency Framework for mid career leaders and managers and an associated assessment process leading to the award of the post-nominal Engineering Executive, abbreviated to EngExec. See the Engineering Executive Applicant's Handbook for more information.
- Talks and seminar programs hosted by the CELM Chapters.
- Mentoring opportunities facilitated by the CELM Chapters.
- Training programs catering for the professional development needs of members.

CELM has working relationships with professional organisations and industry associations, relevant government agencies, and individual companies - particularly those actively developing the roles of engineers in business and management. CELM actively seeks to increase the mutual benefits for members from these relationships.
- CELM publishes articles on leadership issues in the monthly magazine Engineers Australia as well as a quarterly Engineering Executive supplement.
Engineering Leadership Conference 2010
This year's Engineering Leadership Conference explored the characteristics of good leadership and the special challenges faced by engineering leaders.
Organised by Engineers Australia's Center for Engineering Leadership and Management (CELM) and Young Engineers Australia (YEA), the conference attracted some 600 delegates making it one of the Institution's most successful conferences.
