Two scholarships for leadership conference
In recognition of Engineers Australia’s Year of Engineering Leadership, Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) is offering 15 scholarships to attend the 2010 Engineering Leadership Conference in Brisbane 5-7 May.
DFR is sponsoring the delegate registration fee for 15 engineers to the Engineering Leadership Conference.
Sponsorship will be granted across the following four categories to recognise the importance of diversity in the workplace: women, indigenous, multicultural and young engineer.
The conditions of entry are that the entrant:
- must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status, and be currently residing in Australia
- must hold a recognised engineering qualification or be enrolled in an accredited engineering study program.
Applicants should download the application form from www.engineeringleadership.org and email the completed application and their resume to engineers@dfr.com.au.
The second scholarship is from Engineers Australia’s Women in Engineering National Committee. it is in support of female engineers who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend such a conference. Five subsidised mentor registration packages are on offer enabling a senior engineer and the applicant to attend together.
To be eligible, entrants must:
- be Australian citizens or have permanent residence status
- have a recognised engineering qualification or be currently enrolled in a recognised engineering course
- currently reside in Australia
- be female
- be members of Engineers Australia.
