About Us
The National Committee in Space Engineering's chief aim is to raise awareness of the economic, industrial and intellectual value that developing and retaining Australian expertise in space technology can have.
Our main objectives are to:
-
provide engineering leadership on the development of an effective space industry;
interact with local and overseas space organisations to develop and direct Australian space engineering activity, in both national and international space programs;
foster space education in Australia through prizes and grants; and
develop and organise professional society activities such as conferences, seminars and eminent speaker programs.
We are affiliated with Engineers Australia's Electrical College Board and our members come from industry, research and government. They typically serve for three years.
