With the assistance of our Schools Program Sponsor Western Power and our members, Engineers Australia is able to arrange for an Engineer to visit your school to promote careers in engineering. Every effort will be made to fulfill your request, although in some cases this may not be possible.

Engineer Your Career Portal
The Engineer Your Career Portal is deisgned to provide information about the different types of engineering jobs available and what students will need to do to get a job as part of the engineering team. It also has useful links to state and territory admission centres and information for Careers Advisors and Teachers as well as for students.

Science & Engineering Challenge
The Science & Engineering Challenge is a competition for year 9 high school students which aims to present engineering in an inspirational manner, excite the imagination of prospective students and provoke their interest through a variety of well designed tasks. Activities range from problem solving scenarios to designing and building projects. The program has received enormous encouragement from teachers with many indicating that the Challenge has been vital in engaging and inspiring students towards continuing their studies in Science.

Award for Excellence in Teaching
The Engineers Australia WA Division Award for Excellence in Teaching recognises and celebrates an individual secondary school teacher who has demonstrated excellence in applying the principles of engineering in the class room, enhancing the learning experiences of their students and increasing the community awareness of the value of engineering to society.
