Verification and Submission are separate steps in the eChartered process
Based on customer feedback, following is a clarification on the process of verifying and submitting Engineering Competency Claims:
Engineering Competency Claims must first be verified before they are ready to be submitted for assessment. Once they have dropped down to the 'Items Ready for Assessment' list, they are ready to be submitted to a National Assessor.
In the case of PDP participants, once four or more Engineering Competency Claims have been verified, they can be selected for assessment and either paid for or submitted to the Organisation's PDP Coordinator for approval (following this they are automatically issued to a National Assessor).
In the case of ECR and MEE participants, all Engineering Competency Claims and the Engineering Experience Record must be verified, and the CV and CPD Record attached, before the submission is ready to and can be submitted for assessment. Therefore, you will not be able to submit for assessment until all tasks are complete.
So in summary, verification and submission for assessment are separate steps in the process. Once an ECC or EER is verified, it will drop to the 'Items Ready for Assessment' list, that means it is ready to be assessed. Only when other required evidence is complete and in the 'Items Ready for Assessment' list will the yellow button appear so that you can select or submit items for assessment.
