About Us
The Electric Energy Society of Australia (EESA) is a Technical Society of Engineers Australia.
EESA is a non-profit organisation representing members of Engineers Australia who have an interest in the electric energy industry (EEI). The electric energy industry includes generation, transmission, distribution, retail and the end use of electric energy.
EESA is a meeting place for members, non-members, academics and students. EESA provides an opportunity for women and men involved in the electric energy industry to share and transfer knowledge. It is the prime focus group for the continued professional development of its members and to promote the value of electric energy engineering to the community.
The VICTAS Chapter of EESA is the meeting place for women and men in the Victorian and Tasmanian energy industry. We have strong links with academics and students of the Electrical/Electronic Power Schools at:
- Monash University;
- RMIT University;
- The University of Tasmania; and
- Victoria University.

Purpose, Mission and Vision
Purpose
EESA is a non-profit organisation which has as its core function the representation of those members of the Institution who have an interest in the field of electric energy. This field is defined as generation, transmission, distribution, retail and customer end-use of electric energy. EESA will meet the changing needs of Engineers Australia's members involved in the electric energy industry, which is continuously subject to radical changes, restructure and reform.
Mission
The Mission of EESA is:-
"To provide opportunities for the sharing and transfer of knowledge amongst members involved in the electric energy industry"
Vision
The Vision of the Society is:-
"To be the prime focus group for professional development of its members and to promote their value to the community"
