Thought Leaders Series: Weatherability of topcoats

5.30 pm — 8.00 pm AEST, 23 May 2024
Level 9/340 Adelaide St , Brisbane Queensland, 4000
Engineers Australia Brisbane Office

Overview

Join our industry experts, taking a whole of life approach to the design, construction and maintenance of structural assets, for analytical insights to accelerated weathering test and how this knowledge can be used to maximise the durability and design life of assets. As design life is a key requirement in the infrastructure sector, the finish, colour and corrosion protection of construction projects are vital factors that drive maintenance programs and cycles. We will examine the results of accelerated weathering testing on different colours and topcoat technology types. Real-life case histories will be used to highlight challenges and issues with colour delivery via different topcoat technologies, helping you find the best technology for your specific project.

By attending this session, you will benefit from the following outcomes:

  • Discover strategies to achieve long-term colour stability
  • Learn how to extend maintenance-free periods for your clients
  • Understand different types of coating technologies and their performance
  • Understand how to specify a system for long term durability

Who should attend

This event is highly relevant for structural, mechanical, civil and durability engineers.

You do not need to be an Engineers Australia member to attend.
