Invitation and call for abstracts

The 10th Engineering Mathematics and Applications Conference, EMAC2011, will be held at the University of Technology, Sydney, from 4th - 7th December 2011.

Conference topics range broadly over engineering mathematics, statistics & OR and applications, including engineering mathematics education.

The venue is within walking distance of Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and Paddy's Markets and a short bus trip, or scenic ferry ride, from many of Sydney's other icons such as the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, The Rocks, and Circular Quay. A highlight will be the conference dinner to be held during a cruise on beautiful Sydney Harbour. There is also a Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening, and an Informal Restaurant Evening.

Post-graduate students are especially encouraged to participate, and there is a prize for the best research paper presented by a student. Students who are members of ANZIAM are eligible to apply for funding to support their attendance at EMAC through the CSIRO/ANZIAM student support scheme.

KEY DATES:

11th October Deadline for abstract submission.

28th October Early Bird registrations closes 28th October Deadline for students applications to CSIRO/ANZIAM student support scheme.

9th January Deadline for submission of papers to ANZIAM Journal Electronic Supplement.
