Conference Online Program

Last year, the National Conference Program was delivered online and could be rendered on mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Google Android. The feedback for this program was positive and AIPM is currently developing a Conference Online Program (COP) for the 2012 National Conference, to be held in Melbourne on 7th - 10th October at the Crown Promenade Hotel.

This online program will enable attendees to develop familiarity with the program prior to the event, and includes a downloadable icon that can be added to your phone for ease of access during the event. The Live Polling function will also give you the opportunity to provide feedback about keynote speakers and to participate in our online survey.

Attendees can create personalised schedules and an exhibitor favourites lists before and during the event to help get the most out of your attendance at the Conference. Speakers and exhibitors can create their own profiles in order to develop valuable networking opportunities for the event days, along with the ability to add website links and social media profiles to help you connect with delegates via networks such as LinkedIn.

Other Speakers

On Monday 8th October, the Conference Program will feature the AIPM Young and Emerging Project Professionals (YEPP) Stream. The objective of the YEPP Stream is to provide speakers that will provide insights and experiences that will be useful to practitioners especially those who are early in their project careers or changing their existing role within the project management profession.

Supporting the main conference theme of the "New Frontier" this stream is presenting information to prepare us all for the new frontier. The speakers will be covering the changing business environment and its impact on Project Management, career management for PM's, the changing role of the PM, and the challenge of cultural influences on PM. Other guest speakers include 'The New Business Program' by Ruslan Kogan. Ruslan Kogan is a serial entrepreneur, having created and run many successful businesses. He is one of the pioneers of online retail in Australia, and his Internet ventures have expanded to include a global footprint. His companies have operations in Australia, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, with much more international expansion planned. His tremendous success has made him Australia's wealthiest self-made person under the age of 30.

The 2012 Young Australian of the Year Award winner, Marita Cheng has demonstrated vision and leadership well beyond her years and is dedicated to encouraging young women to become interested in a career in Engineering. Marita will present the 'Perspectives on Career Management'.
