Stewart Kreltszheim’s first experiences in the field of leadership came at an early age - he captained the high school football and cricket sides. After a stint in public service, Stewart joined the Credit Union Industry and was later elected as Chairman of Firefighters Credit Co-Operative Ltd. In 1993 he decided on a career change and joined the Country Fire Authority (CFA) as a firefighter. Stewart is now the Operations Manager of CFA District 23 based out of Wangaratta. He played a key operational role in the 2002/03 North East/Gippsland Fires, the USA fires of 2006, Great Divide Campaign fires of 2006/07 and was Incident Controller on Black Saturday 2009. Stewart has trekked the Kokoda Trail six times and has a passion developing leaders in our communities.
The evening also includes the presentation of the Craig Gilbert Leadership Award, University Medals, Fellows Presentations and Awards of Merit for Engineering Heritage.
