To explain the 2012 Competency Review and give our industry partners, volunteers and office bearers the opportunity for input and discussion beyond the website, we are holding a series of Industry Forums in five locations in December.

Who should attend?

    * CEO/Managing Director
    * Engineering Managers
    * Technical Leads
    * Mentors
    * Capability Development Managers
    * Members

The forum will include a brief presentation from Michael Bevan FIEAust CPEng, Associate Director Registration, Engineers Australia who is leading the review. The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion session focusing on the adequacy, appropriateness and proposal of alternatives of the Indicators of Attainment for a Professional Engineer. Engineering Associates and Technologist focus groups are also reviewing the Stage 2Competency Standards for their occupational communities. Download the 2012 Draft Competencies.

The success of the consultation process depends on a broad-based input to ensure that the competencies are expressed in a way that is inclusive of all areas of practice.
