QueenslandTunnelling Code of Practice Workshop

In January 2012 the Queensland Government approved a series of amendments to the Queensland Tunnelling Code of Practice 2007. These changes included areas such as emergency planning, risk management, air quality (including diesel emissions), fire and explosion, communications and a number of other areas affecting construction of underground works.

The workshop is being facilitated by the Australasian Tunnelling Society (ATS). Presentations will be delivered by several speakers from Workplace Health & Safety Queensland who have been directly involved with the process of developing and implementing these changes. The presentation should be of relevance to all persons involved in the design and construction of tunnels in Queensland, including contractors, consultants, suppliers of plant and equipment, subcontractors and also emergency services personnel.
