New Zealand has seen a revival in tunnelling activities over the past few years including the completion of two major sewage projects in Auckland at Rosedale and Hobson Bay.  The  Waterview Connection road tunnel in Auckland is also currently out for tender and due to be awarded later this year.  Waterview is the biggest and most complex roading project ever undertaken in New Zealand and includes two 3-lane tunnels for 2.5kms of the route.

Our speaker will be Dr Harry Asche from Aurecon.  Harry is the Technical Leader Tunnels for Aurecon and has recently returned to the Brisbane office after spending 3 years running their Auckland office.

In his presentation Harry will provide an overview covering recently completed tunnel projects as well as an update on the Waterview project and several other underground projects which are currently in the planning stages.

This is a free event - please register online.
