AAHL  - A national centre of excellence in disease diagnosis,
research and policy advice in animal health!

Real life research from the AAHL features in the current Hollywood movie, ContagionContagion depicts the spread of a deadly virus around the world and the use of 'bat borne viruses' research to contain the pandemic.

AAHL plays a vital role in maintaining Australia’s capability to quickly diagnose animal diseases which threaten Australia’s livestock, aquaculture species, wildlife and humans. It is one of the most advanced laboratories in the world in terms of providing world-class animal health diagnostic services!

The tour will provide a unique opportunity to see inside the AAHL facility with:

  •  Insight into the current refit of the facility
  •  Industrial control systems used to control the facility’s processes.

Follow the AAHL signage on Ryrie Street and enter at AAHL Gate on the north side of the intersection.
