Apart from FPSOs, no Semisubmersible, Spar, TLP or FLNG production platform has currently been installed in Australian waters. These are amongst the next generation of floating production facilities considered for remote and deepwater gas field developments in this region.

This presentation provides an overview of the major engineering aspects of various floating production systems including:
  • Concept Screening, Sizing and Costing Studies
  • Hull Hydrodynamic and Global Performance Analysis
  • Mooring System Design and Analysis
  • Riser System Design and Analysis
  • Structural Design and Analysis
  • Marine System Design
  • Transportation and Installation Analysis
  • Project Execution Support
Project examples will be shown throughout the presentation. The speaker will attempt to stimulate questions in relation to regional drivers and site characteristics including water.
