The Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) has now undertaken reviews of Western Power, Horizon Power and Synergy. The ERA also has a role in monitoring the performance of the Wholesale Electricity Market where Verve is the dominant generator.

What is the current state of the electricity market? What has been the outcome from the break-up of Western Power into four Government Trading Enterprise’s? What, if any, changes are needed to the structure of the electricity market in WA? What is the outlook for electricity prices in WA?

These are some of the questions Lyndon will attempt to answer in his presentation.
