About the presentation:
The presentation will address the call for engineering responses after international crises, and explain the workings of RedR Australia as it seeks to recruit and select engineers, trains and prepares them for the field situations, then supports those selected for field assignment.  Alan McLean, CEO of RedR Australia, will outline the global engineering work and leadership of RedR. This topic is particularly apposite in Engineers Australia;s 'Year of Humanitarian Engineer'.

About RedR:
Ahead of a crisis RedR Australia trains people interested in assisting after major disasters. Qualified and experienced personnel are prepared for some of the challenges they may face in the field.

When disaster strikes RedR Australia is on permanent standby. UN relief agencies and NGOs request people with particular skills and RedR Australia nominates personnel from our Standby Register.
