The Gap State High School will again host "The Engineers' Spaghetti Challenge".

The event is designed to raise awareness of mathematics and science by providing an environment where aspiring young engineers collaborate to design and construct an engineered model of a bridge.

Teams of primary school students will strategically construct a bridge using spaghetti and hot glue. Each bridge will be tested by measuring its weight and how much it can carry. A simple ratio calculation will then be used to determine the lightest and strongest bridge.
