816 Squadron operates the Sikorsky Seahawk helicopters and Gordon’s recent appointments have included  the Senior Instructor for the S-70B-2 Seahawk at Training Authority-Aviation, the Senior Maintenance Coordinator 816 Squadron Heavy Maintenance Unit and the Flight Senior Maintenance Sailor on HMAS Stuart for Slipper Rotations 22 and 25.  Gordon therefore has had extensive experience in the maintenance of aircraft in the RAN in intense operational conditions and his presentation will cover aircraft line maintenance; aircraft deep level maintenance/ship Self Maintenance Period; ashore servicing vs embarked servicing periodicity; qualifications and authorisations, engineering decision management,  ship/helicopter interface and the whole ship integration.
