The presentation will provide an insight into the latest plant capabilities for mechanised track maintenance, renewal and construction, with its current and prospective application in Australia. This includes tampers, regulators, track construction trains and measurement vehicles proven operationally in Europe with Australian market capabilities through the Leighton Swietelsky Joint Venture.

The temptation is to become attracted to plant capabilities and base our expectations of performance on plant specifications, metre production rates and completed treatment or construction distances. In fact our focus should be on the planning, logistics, measurement, survey and data assessment to maximise plant performance. This presentation will detail some of the latest technical and planning tools that support the Leighton Swietelsky plant in production mode to ensure the optimisation of production capabilities, providing a high quality track solution.
