New members are welcome!
The Queensland Chemical Branch of Engineers Australia (EA) furthers the interests of the profession of chemical engineering in Queensland by promoting membership of EA, acting as a focus point for the professional development activities for chemical engineers in Queensland, and working with the Institution of Chemical Engineers in Australia (IChemE) and other professional associations to the benefit of the profession.
In particular, representatives of the Queensland Chemical Branch of EA form one half of the Joint Chemical Engineering Committee (JCEC) with the Queensland Group of IChemE. Through the JCEC, the two institutions support and organise many activities for chemical engineers, including technical seminars, interactive forums and plant tours. The JCEC is formed from the members of the EA Queensland Chemical Branch Committee and the IChemE Queensland Group Committee. Representatives of engineering student groups from the university are also encouraged to join the committees.
Nominations are now sought from members of EA to join the Queensland Chemical Branch and the Joint Chemical Engineering Committee for 2012. Nominations must be proposed and seconded by members of EA.
