About the Seminar

This half day seminar aims to increase awareness of various recent changes to residential building design requirements. Particularly relevant to builders, building designers, architects, building surveyors and engineers, this seminar provides an opportunity to learn about the new requirements without having to travel away from the region. The program for the day includes five presentations:

  • Soil Investigation Reports for Residential Buildings – What should you be looking for?
     
  • Residential Slabs and Footings Design to AS2870:2011 – What are the new standard requirements?
     
  • Flexible Plumbing Fittings for Residential Buildings – AS2870:2011 requirements for reactive sites and solutions
     
  • Trees, Tree Roots and Residential Developments – How do tress affect foundations and footings and possible solutions?
     
  • Residential Lighting – “Is it back to the dark ages?” The new lighting requirements for residential dwellings and what they really mean to you and your clients
