Apply for Membership

No matter what your engineering discipline, applying for an Engineers Australia membership is the right step to take in furthering your engineering career. Depending on your qualification, you can apply for membership grade of Member (MIEAust), Technologist Member (TMIEAust) or Associate Member (AMIEAust).

Application is easy. Simply:

  1. Download and complete an Application Form - Grade of Member (PDF - 160kb)

  2. Attach a certified copy of your degree/award testamur  (what is a certified copy?)

  3. Attach a verified curriculum vitae setting out details of work experience (what is a verified curriculum vitae?)

  4. Attach a certified copy of your photo ID (passport bio-data page or Australian driver's licence) (why is a photo ID required?)

Current Application Processing Turnaround Time

The turnaround time is currently about 3 weeks. Please refrain from contacting Engineers Australia within this timeframe, as it will further delay processing time for all applications.
