Mining, Electrical and Mining Mechanical Engineering Society
MEMMES is a special interest group that looks at engineering disciplines and their applications to mining and its associated industries and suppliers.
MEMMES encourages research development and education programs that benefit the industry. Our members come from all Australian states, New Zealand and New Guinea.
We actively participate in the community and, through our members, are represented on Australian Standards, reviews and committees.

Meetings
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 5.30pm. Unless otherwise specified, they are normally held at Speers Point RSL Club, (Main Road, Speers Point, Newcastle). Meetings include the presentation of technical papers.
Outside these meetings we have a bi-annual conference and organise occasional site visits, mainly in the Hunter Valley and Sydney region.
Anyone wishing to make a technical presentation should contact our Secretary.
