The scope of the Management area of practice is very broad, but includes management, or leadership, or consultancy in areas such as general management, human resources, finance, marketing, quality assurance, education, contract arbitration or policy development.
The general area of practice of Management has been established to distinguish professional engineers who hold management and administrative positions where the majority of day to day activities do not normally involve technical engineering considerations.
Management of the general area of practice of Management is the responsibility of a competency panel comprising representatives including nominees from Engineers Australia's Centre for Engineering Leadership and Management.
Download the Management Guideline for more complete information on competencies required for this area of practice and how to apply for registration.
