Registering but not Joining Engineers Australia

If you answered "Yes" to the question "Do you wish to register on NPER without joining Engineers Australia?" this page is for you. You do not need to join the Engineers Australia in order to register on NPER.

Registration on the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) is available to individuals that have satisfied the Australian Engineering Competency Standards Stage 2 for Professional Engineers in their area of practice.  The application process is designed to add value to the individual's practice skills by providing them an incentive to complile evidence for competence from their experience and to defend that evidence in front of the professional peers.  You must apply for NPER through the eChartered web site.  You will use this even though you do not wish to join.

Applicants should be aware that the annual fees payable will be higher if you do not join Engineers Australia:

All fees include GST. The fees shown below come into effect 1 July 2012. The fee increases are the first for several years, and represent the cost of providing the service.
