Registration as an RPEQ
Attention!
Professional Engineers engaged in a professional engineering service must be registered under the Professional Engineers Act 2002 (QLD)! Registration on the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) is not enough! However, NPER satisfies all qualification and competency requirements for registration as RPEQ.
Assessment
A successful assessment of qualifications and competencies is required before lodging an application with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland for registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Engineers Australia will issue a letter of assessment to be lodged with the Board with Form 2, applying for registration as RPEQ.
Engineers Australia will assess an engineer's qualifications and competencies in the following areas of engineering, as set out in its approved Assessment Scheme:
| Aerospace | Biomedical | Building Services | Chemical | Civil | Electrical | Environmental |
| Management | Mechanical | Structural | Naval Architecture | ITEE |
