Every 90 seconds a woman dies of complications related to pregnancy and childbirth, so on Friday 18th May Women in Engineering QLD and Young Engineers Australia QLD combine to raise funds for those in need in Africa and Southeast Asia. -

USQ lecturer to present International Women’s Day presentation on females in engineering
University of Southern Queensland lecturer Steven Goh will addressing a group of 100 female Year 9 and 10 students on International Women’s Day (March 8) at QUT on the importance of women in engineering, maths, science and technology.
Mr Goh is the Queensland district president of Engineers Australia and an ambassador for the “Women in Hard Hats” program. He is a big supporter of encouraging more women to pursue traditionally male-dominated industries.
