2006 Engineering Officer of the Year - Ross Magno
Ross Magno, the Commanding Officer of 25 (City of Perth) Squadron at RAAF Pearce Base has
been declared Engineers Australia’s 2006 Engineering Officer of the Year.
Ross Magno’s prestigious award was announced before over 400 guests who attended the 2006
Australian Engineering Excellence Awards dinner held at Parliament House Canberra last night.
After joining the RAAF in 1978 Ross qualified as a RAAF Radio Technician and then completed
all the requirements of the Associate Diploma of Engineering 1992 at the Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology. Ross has had a solid career in sophisticated, responsible and highly
technical engineering. Ross has achieved Chartered status and is a Fellow of Engineers
Australia.
