The 2012 ATSE Clunies Ross Awards: Nominations Close 31 July 2011

Nominations for the 2012 Clunies Ross Awards are now open. This Award is recognised as one of the most prestigious in the technological sciences and the only one that links innovation and discovery to commercial success for the benefit of Australia. It recognises outstanding achievement in the application of science and technology and I encourage you to make a nomination.

The Awards also provide a dynamic platform to encourage and promote excellence and achievement in science and technology. The Medallists become Members of the ATSE Clunies Ross Alumni and participate in an interactive programme with Year 10 Science students to demonstrate that a career in science and technology is both exciting and rewarding.

You can be a part of this important national programme by nominating someone for the Award.

Working at the leading edge of innovation and discovery as you are, I have no doubt that you will be aware of someone amongst your past or present associates, clients or suppliers who meet the criteria for an Award. We would be grateful if you would take the time to make a nomination and to circulate this invitation to your colleagues.

Nominations close on Friday 29 July 2011 and Nominators will be advised of the outcome of their nominations in October. The Medals will be presented at a Gala Dinner in Sydney in May 2012. Details of the Awards criteria and the Nomination Forms are available on the ATSE Clunies Ross website www.atse.org.au/clunies-ross-award. Should you require any additional information or assistance in preparing a nomination do not hesitate to call myself or Ms Johanna Gasser on 03 9864 0908 or by email to johanna.gasser@atse.org.au
