Asean Australian Engineering Congress opens

The Star Online reports: “Opening the Asean Australian Engineering Congress here yesterday, Taib [Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud] said the state’s policy of sustainable development had brought about positive outcomes over the years.

“For instance, he said 60% of Sarawak’s remote communities now enjoyed electricity and the figure would reach 95% by next year.”
