Ballot2010 now live

With Engineers Australia's historic 2010 ballot to modernise our governing documents less than five weeks away, members can now access a dedicated website that provides background information and the opportunity to engage in discussion.

At www.ballot2010.org.au members can also contribute to the discussion and provide input to the Explanatory Statement - a concise summary of the cases 'for' and 'against' the motion - which will form part of the official ballot documentation.

A special link allows members to lodge their contribution. Submissions are to be no more than 500 words and will be vetted by an independent, senior legal counsel, to ensure they represent their cases fairly. Submissions opened 13 September and will close on October 11.

Voting will open on Monday 18 October and close on Monday 15 November.

The voting process will be simple: there will be just one motion and all Corporate Members of Engineers Australia have to do is tick the YES box to accept it or the NO box to reject the motion.
