Bilfinger Berger Australia Autumn School of Engineering

The Bilfinger Berger Australia Autumn School of Engineering (BBAASE) will take place in March 2010 will and bring together 50 Year 11 Sydney Metro students who are interested in pursuing engineering as a career.

2010 will be the first year this program will be held, as we have noticed the demand for enrolment in the Summer School has vastly numbered the available positions. To meet this growing demand BBAASE has been scheduled to take place 22-26 March 2010.

Throughout the week-long program, students will be introduced to the following four universities

  • University of Sydney,
  • University of New South Wales,
  • University of Technology Sydney, and
  • University of Newcastle.

The students will also be taken behind the scenes of some of the major engineering companies and projects within Sydney and Newcastle; this will provide the students with the opportunity to see engineers in action and the workings of different organisations.

BBAASE is a great experience full of practical engineering activities, a careers evening, and night up in Newscaslte staying at the Broadmeadow Sports Lodge.

BBAASE is an initiative supported by Engineers Australia - Sydney Division, Bilfinger Berger Australia, NSW ‘Engineering' Universities and participating Rotary Districts.

Applications will open in October and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, so please register early to avoid any disappointment.

The 2010 BBAASE is being held 22-26 March. For more information please contact Aimee Najdovski on 02 9410 5613.

Places are limited, so please place your application form together with your most recent school report, as soon a possible.
