DIY hydropower in Cameroon
Villagers in developing countries often don’t have the engineering skills to develop new technologies. But they are good at using what they have to make things and keep them going.
Engineering for Change reports on a Cameroon village where locals had “built four hydropower turbines and started a fifth before they realized they might need some help”. That is when some American engineering students came in.
