F1-11 Structural Integrity Support - Eminent Speaker Presentation
Dr Francis Rose was the winner of the 2007 AGM Michell Medal and is the recently retired Chief Scientist at the Platform Sciences Laboratory at DSTO, Victoria.
Dr Rose will speak on technical highlights from the F1-11 Sole Operator Program which was a comprehensive engineering support program started in 1996, in the wake of the earlier-than-expected retirement of the USAF F1-11 fleet, leaving the RAAF as the sole operator of this aircraft type in the world. The technical highlights will illustrate innovative and cost-effective approaches to fatigue life extension.
The presentation will be held at the Engineers Australia Queensland Division, 447 Upper Edward Street, Brisbane from 5.30pm.
