Getting Sydney Moving Seminar
The Southern Highlands and Tablelands Regional Group of Engineers Australia was host to Dr Garry Glazebrook at their dinner seminar on Thursday 25th August. The dinner seminar was another in our “Australia’s Infrastructure” series, and this month the topic was Getting Sydney Moving – The Transport Challenge. Dr Glazebrook gave an insight into the City of Sydney’s plans for fixing both current transport infrastructure issues and future developments designed to alleviate transportation concerns with the growing Sydney population. The main focus of the talk was about shaping Sydney for a more sustainable transport future. The social and cultural evolution required to compliment such change was also outlined. Overall it was another thoroughly enjoyable and informative evening.
