Good Streets , Good Places – The Lost Art of Street Design

Good Streets , Good Places – The Lost Art of Street Design
A one-day workshop for planners, engineers and urban designers

The first in a national series of workshops, this event will be held in Adelaide on November 17, 2011 and is co-hosted by MRCagney and Hub Traffic and Transport.

This one day course re-introduces participants to designing streets for people not just streets for cars. Streets are one of our most valuable community assets; they have been around for thousands of years and have been the centre of our social networking, our economy, our play space and of course they also play a role in mobility.

In the last 60 or 70 years however the street has been more and more dedicated to the car, and no longer quite so suitable for its original purpose, or purposes.

For more details on this workshop opportunity please view the flyer available here or contact Barry Watkins of MRCagney Pty Ltd via bwatkins@mrcagney.com or by calling 07 3320 3600.
