Kenya to launch energy centre
AlertNet reports: ‘Kenya plans to launch a cutting-edge green energy centre in December to help companies develop climate-friendly technologies, boosting employment and trade in the sector.”
The site quotes the World Bank’s special envoy for climate change, Andrew Steer, as saying: “The (businesses supported by the) centre (are) expected to generate over 7,000 megawatts of electricity annually within three years of operation, making Kenya energy-sufficient.”
