New Intel chip runs on solar power
CNN reports Intel has debuted a chip codenamed ‘claremont’ that is known as a near-threshold voltage processor. In its demonstration, the company powered a PC with a solar cell the size of a postage stamp. The chip switches into NTV mode, under 10 mW, when its workload is light.
