Scholarship for Young Professionals
Congratulations to Steve O''''Brien, Civil Engineer, URS, in Melbourne for winning the ANCOLD Scholarship for Young Professionals in 2007.
This is the first year this award has been introduced to allow young professionals to increase their skills and knowledge in particular fields of dams engineering.
Recipients receive up to AUD$15,000 to support an international study tour in their chosen field. The subject of Steve''''s scholarship is "Seismic Assessment of Appurtenant Structures at Dams".
Steve has seven years experience and has been involved in both the design and construction of headworks structures.
