University of South Australia launches new Doctorate program
The Doctor of Information Technology Management
World class leaders in IT
The Doctor of Information Technology Management is the only program of its kind in the world and is aimed at professionals aspiring to the role of CIO and other IT senior leadership positions. The program combines industry based case studies with advanced learning in areas identified as critical to the role of today's CIO and has been developed in collaboration with industry, government and academic organisations. The Doctorate is aimed at those in management positions from engineering, finance and accounting and provides graduates the necessary tools to be responsible for the IT function of an organisation at board level.
Students may come from an IT background looking to build upon their IT skills or from engineering, finance, accounting, and other related disciplines seeking skills in management and leadership in the IT sector.
Each student that enrols into the Doctor of IT will be given an Apple iPad which has been preconfigured to access iPad-friendly resources.
Courses are delivered by highly qualified academic staff with guest ‘master classes’ by industry specialists and senior IT leaders such as CIOs. Additionally, the teaching and learning environment is shaped by the integration of real world projects, providing students the opportunity to add value to organisations while consolidating theoretical skills and knowledge learned. The program is supported by the School’s Industry Alliance Program as students closely liaise with UniSA’s industry partners and make contacts within their chosen.
Possible credit for recognition of prior learning for some or all elective courses will be considered for applicants who meet the required criteria. Scholarships are available for both domestic and international students.
