YEAQ speaker night highlights humanitarian engineering
In the first of a series of events planned to celebrate the Year of Humanitarian Engineering, YEAQ has invited engineers involved with RedR to talk about their experiences as volunteers.
Speakers include Brad Schultz, a mechatronic engineer who worked in Nepal for five months with the Kathmandu Alternative Power and Energy Group.
Terry Lancashire, a structural/civil engineer, will talk about his experience in Afghanistan as a volunteer with RedR and Rotary International.
And Rob McInerney, CEO of iRAP, will talk about working with leaders in different countries to improve the safety of road infrastructure.
