Year of Humanitarian Engineering - Sydney Division Launch
The night included inspiring presentations from a range of speakers including Elizabeth Taylor from RedR, Robert Hughes from Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and Colonel John Shanahan from the Australian Army. Each group outlined how they provide assistance on the ground in a disaster situation, providing relief and disaster recovery. The event was proudly sponsored by Google, and Google engineers Ben Stewart and Anthony Baxter gave a thrilling real-time presentation on Google's efforts on the earthquakes which had occurred in New Zealand in that week.
