Young Engineers Australia Hunting for Representative

Young Engineers Australia (YEA) has been asked to provide a representative to sit on, and participate in, the new Regional Special Interest Group. This is a National Committee and the role will be for a term of 2 years, renewable for intervals of further 2 years upon successful re-election.

They are therefore seeking nominations/applications from young engineers who are active members based in a regional location to take on this position.

Applications are due by 12 noon, Thursday 8th July 2010 and should be submitted to yea@engineersaustralia.org.au

* Engineers Australia Membership Number
* YEA Division
* Email Address
* Contact Phone Number

2. Statement Supporting Nomination - addressing why the applicant would be the best person for the position and what the applicant will do if they are successful in obtaining this position
3. Resume

Additional Information
The successful applicant must be willing and able to actively contribute to the Regional National Committee in the following way:

* Participate in meetings of the Committee (primarily via teleconference and one face to face meeting) per year;
* Actively contribute ideas;
* Communicate effectively the wishes of the YEA to the Regional National Committee and visa versa;
* Be willing and able to communicate with YEA parties to gather consensus opinion;
* Be willing and able to communicate on the activities of the Regional National Committee at the appropriate YEA forums, either existing forums or upon request;
* Be committed to improving services for Regional Members; and
* Be willing to serve on the Regional National Committee for a minimum period of 2 years.
