Critical oil and gas gathering to be staged in Perth Tuesday, 14 February 2017

With the oil and gas industry at a cross roads after a sustained period of budget cutbacks and layoffs, many of the world’s leading oil and gas representatives will be gathering in Perth in late February to discuss the critical issues facing the industry.

While it awaits the outcomes of an OPEC – led reduction in oil production and the potential changes new United States President Donald Trump may make to his domestic oil and gas sector, there could be no better time for industry leaders and watchers to come together under one roof to hear and discuss where the petroleum sector may be headed.

Leading Australian LNG project operators Woodside and Chevron will be joined by other major producers, service and supply companies and industry and government bodies to ensure that the content, both in the three, free-to-attend industry forums, the industry zones and the exhibition are all must attend activities.

Organisations like Woodside, Deloitte, National Energy Resources Australia and the Western Australian Government have been working closely together over the past nine months to create a unique stream of key industry topics that will be presented at the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) from Wednesday, February 22 to Friday, February 24 2017.

The AOG organisers have also added an exciting new event to the world-class program at AOG 2017 - the Industry Capability Network WA (ICNWA) and Subsea Energy Australia (SEA) breakfast presentation – which will take a first-hand look at the Chevron Australia-operated Gorgon Stage 2 Project.

The ICNWA and SEA hosted breakfast, which will be staged at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) on Thursday, 23 February form 6:45am - 8:00am will feature senior representatives from the Chevron Australia-operated Gorgon Stage 2 Project and Chevron Supply Chain, who will provide an update on the Project and discuss opportunities for Australian industry.

As one of the world’s leading oil and gas events, AOG 2017 will again be well attended by local and international companies and visitors, with around 8,000 visitors expected to attend the event.

As well as the high profile Collaboration Forum, AOG 2017 will feature content from leading industry bodies from around the globe in the new Subsea and Knowledge Forums, which will also run across the three days of this year’s event.

“AOG 2017 has been called the event ‘the industry built’ and we are really excited and very proud of the world class content that will be discussed and on display at the 36th staging of AOG,” AOG Event Director, Bill Hare said.
